MyFonts vs Creative Market

Both sell per-use font licences (Desktop, Webfont, App and more). Creative Market uses one set of EULAs; MyFonts sells fonts from many foundries, each with its own EULA, so always read the one on the font's Licensing tab.

QuestionMyFontsCreative Market
Logos Conditional Desktop licence minimum; check the foundry's EULA. “Minimally a Desktop license would be required to use a font in a logo, so that the font can be installed onto a workstation, and the design be created within a desktop application.” myfonts.com Allowed Explicitly allowed (not a dingbat as the logomark). “Licensed Users are permitted to use the Fonts to create logos and logotypes.” creativemarket.com · affiliate link
Canva & cloud design apps Not allowed No MyFonts licence allows Canva. “Unfortunately, none of our licenses available through MyFonts permits the upload or use of fonts within Canva.” myfonts.com Allowed Licensed users' own cloud design accounts. “Each Licensed User is permitted to upload the Fonts to cloud-based design application accounts controlled by the Licensed User[s], and used only by the Licensed User[s] for the purpose of creating artwork with the Fonts.” creativemarket.com · affiliate link
Sharing with a client Not allowed Flat images only; no font files or files with embedded fonts. “Static graphics (i.e., “flat” images that do not contain embedded fonts) may be distributed, but you may not distribute raw font files or files containing embedded fonts.” myfonts.com Conditional Editable files only to other licensed users. “Licensed Users are permitted to distribute or embed the Font in editable Documents (including PDF, Microsoft Word® & Microsoft Powerpoint®) only to other Licensed Users.” creativemarket.com · affiliate link
Buying for a client Allowed Put the client's name on the licence. “Be sure to enter your client's name or their company name into the 'License Information' field during the checkout process.” myfonts.com Unclear Not addressed in the font EULA we checked.
Websites Conditional Webfont licence, single domain. “Webfonts can be used on a single domain.” myfonts.com Conditional Separate Webfont licence. “The Licensee is only permitted to embed the Fonts in websites using the @font-face syntax in CSS stylesheets.” creativemarket.com · affiliate link
Merch Unclear Not addressed generally in the FAQ; depends on the foundry's EULA. Allowed Unlimited physical goods. “Licensed Users are permitted to use the Fonts in artwork for an unlimited number of physical goods such as books, collateral, clothing, signage, and promotional items.” creativemarket.com · affiliate link

We also tried to compare Fontspring, but its licence pages blocked our automated reader on 22 October 2026, so it isn't included. Creative Market's font EULAs name 'Creative Market Labs, Inc, Fontspring, and its distributors' as licensor.

“Unclear” means the pages we read don't answer the question: check with the rights holder.

The short version

Creative Market's desktop EULA is more accommodating for modern workflows: Canva, logos stated outright, unlimited merch. MyFonts offers far more typefaces, but each foundry's EULA governs, and its standard licences rule out Canva.
